Folksingers Concerned with Saving the Planet Gathering April 23 for
Earthday
Folksinger
Brian Gladstone is an earthy guy - that much you could figure out
just by looking at the title of his debut album, Back To The Dirt, released
two years ago, or from listening to his original songs when he performs
live (as he did at our SpringRise 2002.1 concert at Healey's
Mar. 24). You can also see it in his commitment to the upcoming third
annual "Back To The Dirt for Earthday" concert, which once again
he's organizing.
This year's show, at Tranzac Club on Tues. April 23, will include
some of Canada's best Folk artists coming together for preservation of the
natural environment. Participants include: Danny Bakan with Christopher
McKhool; Rodney Brown; Nonie Crete; Daisy Debolt with Marg Stowe;
Wendell Ferguson; Aengus Finnan; Howard Gladstone; Norm Hacking with Michael
Katz; Michael Laderoute; Jeremy Woodland; Lynn Harrison - Madd Scientists
Jim Layeux and Melwood Cutlery - Linda Saslove; Spooky Moon and
Gladstone with Tony Quarrington, Maureen Brown and Bonnie
Gladstone. The show starts at 7pm, cover is $12 and all proceeds go to
Earthday Canada. For more info check out www.backtothedirt.com .
