Canada's Brian Gladstone is doing some amazing finger picking on this funny, inventive album—maybe the best folk album that I ever heard. I grew up on folk music, and Brian Gladstone is in that room with the big boys like Woody himself. Brian Gladstone's music comes across in rich, resonating tones found on pre-disco records of so-called classic rock. ... I love this album, and you will, too, if you have the slightest interest in Americana, folk, or porch music. (Reprinted from Skratch Magazine) |
